About the Opportunity:
Under the supervision of the Senior Associate Director of Admissions Programming, the Associate Director of Admissions Visitor Services manages the daily operations for the University Visitor Center. Responsible for ensuring the facility is maintained at the highest standards and ready to welcome guests to campus. Working closely with Information Services and the on-site AV technician to ensure the equipment is continually operational. Working in partnership with the Senior Associate Director of Admissions Programming, the Assistant VP of Enrollment, the Dean of Admission, and the Senior Director of Undergraduate Marketing develop and execute a plan for on-going development and growth of the content delivered through the technology platforms. The incumbent will develop and implement on-campus visitor center-based programs for prospective and admitted students and their families. S/he will work in conjunction with the academic departments to provide appropriate programming to meet their enrollment goals, including yield activities such as class visits and phonations. The Associate Director of Admissions Visitor Services will serve as a liaison between Undergraduate Admissions and various University constituents as it relates to visit programming and facilitate opportunities for collaboration. The incumbent will develop and administer a process for ongoing assessment of all programs, services, including assessing the staff and students in the context of these programs and services. The Associate Director of Admissions Visitor Services will serve as the senior staff member in the Visitor Center and an active member of the unit's management team and other internal and external teams as required. S/he will oversee a portion of the Admissions budget allocated to the visitor center and programs. Some evening and weekend hours and occasional travel are required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in college admission.

  • Strong supervisory, interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • A thorough understanding of the college search and visit experience

  • Experience working with diverse populations

  • Demonstrated understanding of admissions technical systems.

  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented, programming experience preferred

  • Knowledge of higher education issues related to recruitment, admission and enrollment of students.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    Masters preferred.
