The Department of Art and Art History at the University at Rhode Island (URI) seeks a professionally active artist who works with innovative approaches to analog and digital printmaking in their practice and pedagogy to teach at the undergraduate level.  The candidate’s CV should reflect a growing exhibition record and a national/international reputation.  Position is academic year tenure-track, permanent.

The successful candidate will work to integrate the expanded field of print through their practice and pedagogy within the department and other disciplines. Their multidisciplinary approach will develop a curriculum that synthesizes theory and practice in relation to current cultural and social issues fostering interdisciplinary activity among art disciplines and the larger university.

The candidate will join the department just as we start to plan for our new building slated to open in 2025 and will help shape the new printmaking facilities, including bringing in other techniques and equipment.
