Program Specialist (PT)

Salary: $16.00 per hour

MVCC is seeking to fill a part-time position in our Center for Corporate and Community Education (CCED) located on the Rome Campus. The Program Specialist is responsible for assisting in meeting the CCED mission by providing support in the development and delivery of community and workforce development programming, including creating reports to tracking program results.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provides support to coordinators in course development and implementation;
  • Develops comprehensive program reports to monitor, analyze and track registrations, sales and statistics;
  • Maintains customer databases;
  • Prepares third-party subcontracts and instructor contracts;
  • Prepares third-party invoices and instructor payroll authorizations;
  • Coordinates room assignments and bookings;
  • Handles student registrations and interacts with customers daily;
  • Coordinates with students, staff, and outside entities to resolve student account, space and other related issues as they arise;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree and two years of related experience, including demonstrated success in providing quality customer service
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, computer skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • The ability to be adaptable during difficult situations and problem-solve quickly
  • Must enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with ARGOS and/or Banner
