The Division of Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine and The Division of Bioethics & Palliative Care in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington are jointly recruiting a full time Assistant Professor without tenure by reason of funding (commensurate with experience and qualifications) on the clinician-scholar track. This position would be multi-year appointments over a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30).
Responsibilities will include providing inpatient and outpatient pulmonology clinical services, clinical ethics consultation, and research relevant to both pediatric pulmonology and bioethics.
All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Anticipated start date is Summer 2022.
QualificationsApplicants must have an MD, DO or MD/DO combined (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology. Applicants must also have advanced training (Master's degree or foreign equivalent, fellowship training, or equivalent) in Bioethics.
In order to be eligible for Universitysponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
