Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position supports administrative functions within the Medical Assisting Program and provides direct customer service and support for the students, faculty, and staff as well as the health care provider community members, especially those who provide clinical experiences. Position requires the ability to pay close attention to details, proficiency working with technology, and excellent communication and customer service skills.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  1. Provide clerical office support for Medical Assisting, including for the Coordinator of the Medical Assisting Program.
  2. Assist with implementation of Medical Assisting Program requirements.
  3. Communicate effectively with students, staff, faculty, and health care providers.
  4. Maintain records as required by accreditor.



Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in office management or office administration, preferably in a college setting.
  2. Strong communication and organizational skills with attentiveness to detail.
  3. Experience in organizing records for review.
  4. Excellent customer service skills.
  5. Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office Suite: Word; Excel; MS Outlook.
  6. Willingness to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings.
  7. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, work independently, problem solve and take initiative appropriately.


ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associate degree or coursework at a community college.
  2. Experience with Jenzabar.

Additional Information:

COMPENSATION : $17.00 per hour for up to 18 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (based on program needs). Non-benefited, non-unit position.
