The Albright College Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning August of 2022, in a 7-person ACS-approved department that offers B.S. degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, environmental chemistry, and chemistry education. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. degree in chemistry or a closely related field by August 2022. Candidates with experience in environmental chemistry are preferred, but teaching and research emphases in analytical, physical, materials, or biochemistry will also be considered. Post-doctoral and/or prior teaching experience is desirable but not required. A strong commitment to undergraduate education, an active research agenda inclusive of undergraduate students, and service to the department and the College are expected. Teaching responsibilities include lecture and laboratory sections in their area of specialization and, in rotation with current faculty, lecture and laboratory sections of general chemistry and nonmajors courses. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to teach courses that contribute to our general education curriculum.
