Job Description:

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Fairfield University invites applications for a part-time instructor position in Chinese language starting on January 18, 2022. The selected candidate teaches two 3-credit language courses—E lementary Chinese and Intermediate Chinese—for one semester. There is also a p ossibility of renewal of the position depending on needs and funding.

Requirements: Master’s degree or higher in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, Chinese linguistics, or related fields; native or near-native fluency in Chinese and English; demonstrated excellence in teaching Chinese as a second language. Knowledge of current trends in second language teaching methodologies and application of technologies in language instruction are highly desirable.
