The ideal candidate will exhibit character traits of integrity, servant-leadership, work ethic, creativity, and respect for others, and will be passionate about working in college athletics. Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for External Operations, the Assistant Director of Athletics Advancement is responsible for working with Athletics Annual Giving with an emphasis on customer service to donors, special events, and alumni giving.  This position plays an integral role in the direct solicitation of funds for our Athletics program. This position will be charged with supporting the management and implementation of multiple athletic annual giving solicitations and events throughout the year such as the Bulldog Athletics Fund (BAF) Annual Scholarship Golf Classic, Baseball Night in Asheville, Our Turn to Play Luncheon, etc. including follow-up activities associated with the donor benefits program. This person will also serve as an ambassador for Bulldog Athletics on the phone and in person during special events and other general fundraising initiatives. In addition, this position will also provide support for game day operations, serving as the game day manager for certain assigned sports and assist with game-day operations for all sports at UNC Asheville.  The Assistant Director will interface with game day officials, teams, coaches, administrators, Big South Conference & NCAA representatives, administrators, and other affiliated groups within the University.  This position will assist and coordinate facilities, develop schedules, and consult with on and off-campus partners.
