Job Summary
The Marketing Coordinator position is responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring social media and e-mail marketing campaigns for the Division of Continuing Education. This position works in coordination with other marketing professionals and the Continuing Education team to increase participant registrations and continuously promote brand awareness for all 4 results-oriented and customer-focused units - Conference Services, Adult Programs, Youth Programs, and Event Management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage the division's social media strategy
  • Measure the success of social media campaigns for each program/conference and report findings to the division
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure content/graphics/design are informative and appealing
  • Work with the marketing team and others to develop and implement e-mail marketing campaigns
  • Work with the marketing team and others in the division to ensure the success of all programs and conferences
  • Adhere to the university's social media and marketing guidelines
  • Work directly with the marketing team to provide recommendations for social media campaigns and present options to clients
  • Contribute to the creation of project plans and sets timelines and supports marketing goals as it pertains to social media campaigns
  • Build programs/conference apps and work with division personnel to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of posted events
  • Manage listserv databases for targeted marketing campaigns
  • Research ways to specifically identify and connect with potential students and clients for various types of programs and conferences
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission and strategic initiatives of the University and the Division
  • Establish and execute strategies for continuously increasing the division's social media network
  • Define and measure important social media key performance indicators

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience
  • At least one year of related work experience in social media marketing and/or content writing

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Master's degree

Preferred Experience
  • Three years of experience in social media marketing in higher education

Proposed Salary
$36,500

This is a non-exempt position.

  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
