COVID Testing and Outreach Coordinator

Simmons University is looking for an organized individual to manage the COVID Testing Site on our Residential Campus and to assist with our efforts to ensure compliance and the health and safety of the campus community. The Coordinator will also recruit a team of student ambassadors to assist with community outreach and wellness education related to COVID-19. The Coordinator will also interface with faculty and students and manage the notification process for isolation and clearance.
Simmons has contracted with the Broad Institute in Cambridge for onboarding and surveillance testing of the Simmons Community. We also use the CoVerified App for appointment scheduling and testing compliance. This person would report to the Administrative Director of Health Services for the University.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the daily operation of the COVID testing
site;
- Recruit, organize, train and support students who may be of
assistance in the day to day operation of the testing site and for
general COVID-19 related awareness;
- Establish and sustain working relationships with third party
resources such as Broad, CoVerified and troubleshoot any issues as
they arise;
- Overseeing adherence to the testing and symptom reporting
policies of the University and follow-up with appropriate staff and
managers;
- Coordinate and assist Residential Life Staff, faculty and the
Division of Student Affairs main office to coordinate
Isolation/Quarantine Protocol Adherence, and clearance;
- Assist Health Services with contact tracing and following of
students in Isolation and Quarantine
- Work closely with the Health Protocol Working Group to address
ongoing issues as they arise and work with other Simmons Working
Groups as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of evolving COVID best
practices.
- Provide safety workshops and trainings for student
organizations, faculty and staff related to keeping the community
healthy and safe during COVID-19.

- Preference for someone with administrative and/or operational
oversight experience.
Position Details:
This is a part-time or full-time position (hours to be determined with candidate), non-benefits eligible, temporary position from approximately mid-September and through December 2021with an option to continue in the Spring Semester.
