intoCareers has powered high-quality career information and planning systems across the nation through the Career Information System (CIS). Our team of experienced analysts ensure that content is both current and accurate. Our system operators actively participate in an organized network that collaborates with intoCareers to set research and development objectives, achieve common goals, and share creative strategies.

intoCareers licenses its products to state entities such as education agencies, offices of postsecondary education, and departments of labor. These entities create localized versions of the CIS to support career development programs in their respective states. intoCareers experienced staff provide full-lifecycle support to assure quality implementation of CIS. From training and support to curriculum and consulting, intoCareers is a trusted non-profit partner dedicated to helping partners and licensees succeed.

Position Summary
The Training/Account Manager position is a service position that develops and delivers a wide range of training, consultation, evaluation, and development activities. The position is responsible for helping with the marketing and sales strategy to deepen existing partnerships, develop new partnerships and licensing opportunities and in accordance with the mission of intoCareers.

The responsibilities include training on career and educational planning and the use of intoCareers products, promoting career development and the use of intoCareers products and services, developing materials for classroom and individual use, and participate in the development and revision of intoCareers products and services.

The Training/Account Manager serves as a direct link between intoCareers and its clients and is responsible for training, creating, and sustaining long-term customer relationships. The position has a key role in intoCareers success by performing market analysis, product positioning and development, training and fostering positive partner relationships.

There is potential for this position to be fully remote.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, or a communications field
  • 5 years of professional experiences in counseling and career development in schools or colleges, social service organizations, vocational rehabilitation, or other career guidance services are considered equivalent to a master's degree.

    Professional Competencies
  • Working understanding of career development theory and state-sponsored career development programs
  • Ability to train, advise, and instruct administrators, teachers, counselors, managers, students, and clients on the use of career information and to extend CIS use in their institutions and organizations.
  • Working understanding of researching and writing career development curriculum for K-16.
  • Familiarity with counseling, professional-technical education programs, and administrative practices of schools, colleges, and social agencies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities and to influence and sell decision-makers within current and prospective strategic alliances

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in counseling, education or a communications field
  • Completion of the Facilitating Career Development Training Program
  • Experience promoting and implementing the CIS platform within complex school or state agency environments
  • Experience managing or promoting a multitenancy career development solution
  • Experience in government or education sales
  • Experience working in a CRM based environment for activity tracking and pipeline reporting
  • Established relationships with decision-makers in one or more of the target audiences
