Department Summary
The University Health Center (UHC) is a unit within the Division of Student Services and Enrollment Management and is a nationally accredited (AAAHC) outpatient clinic providing primary care to students at the University of Oregon. All staff are required to uphold the mission of the UHC.
This position works in support of the University Health Center mission and vision and is consistent with UO policy. Some aspects of this position may be completed in collaboration with other University departments.
Position Summary
The Corona Corps Supervisor will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the University of Oregon's COVID-19 contract with Lane County Public Health (LCPH) to provide contact tracing, case management, and resource support services to the UO and Lane County Communities through a call center operating out of the University Health Center.
This position will work in support of the Corona Corps and its COVID Care Response Team. The Corona Corps includes undergraduate and graduate students who serve as Contact Monitors and as COVID Care Response Team members who provide resource support to UO and Lane County community members who test positive for COVID-19 or become a contact. This role includes recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, overseeing work output, and being on call. These positions report to the Co-Directors of the Corona Corps. The Corona Corps Project Managers will ensure that all deliverables for Lane County Public Health are met, and will participate in all required activities to maintain the contract. Training in and knowledge of the Oregon Health Authority's Arias system and other Lane County Public Health systems is required. Weekend and evening work is required. Time worked on weekends and evenings is dictated by the number of cases.
Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree, preferably in a public health or public
administration field OR an equivalent combination of relevant
experience and training.
- Two years of experience in supervising a team.
- Two years of project management experience.
Professional Competencies - Advanced skills in project management.
- Advanced skills and abilities in software necessary to execute
stated duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to perform quality control on others' work.
- Strong sense of intellectual curiosity and high aptitude to
learn a complex and perpetually evolving health care system.
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Public
Administration, Public Policy, Social Work, Business
Administration, or another concentration related to
public/behavioral health administration.
- Supervisory experience in public health (or related
field).
- Knowledge of health IT systems such as electronic health
records, etc.
- Knowledge of Oregon's and Lane County's public health
infrastructure, and COVID-19 related
guidelines. - Knowledge of behavioral and public health
approaches.
- Fluent in other languages, e.g., Spanish, Mandarin Chinese,
etc.
