FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at City College of New York invites applications for a tenure-track position in Hydrology/GIS, at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin in Fall 2022. We will consider applicants across a broad range of specialized fields including, hydroclimate, fluid mechanics, hydrology/hydrogeology, and geomorphology. We are particularly interested in researchers who utilize an interdisciplinary approach, including remote sensing observations, process-based modeling and/or field work. Applicants skilled in combining geospatial hydrologic information within integrated modeling and analysis frameworks are encouraged. The successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program that expands the scope of our departmental expertise while complementing and integrating with our existing strengths. The candidate should be capable of developing new courses and teaching existing offerings in hydrology, geomorphology, and/or GIS. The Assistant Professor will share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. degree in hydrology, geology, atmospheric or environmental science, or a related field. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
