Job Description:

The Business Librarian Liaison will, through teaching and learning, support the students and faculty of the College's Business programs, among the most popular degrees at Curry.   Responsibilities will include:

  • Selection of resources for business, including books, journals, and databases as they pertain to the business curriculum.
  • In-class and remote library instruction to undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education students, in either specific topics or introduction to general business resources.
  • Creation of LibGuides for specific classes or general business topics.
  • Outreach to business faculty for collaboration and resource recommendation.
  • Provision of individual and group research appointments to business students.

General responsibilities will include:

  • Regularly scheduled reference hours.
  • Supporting information literacy initiatives by participating in General Education classes and producing LibGuides specifically for such classes.
  • Keeping instruction statistics for the library.
  • Additional responsibilities when needed.

 

Requirements:

Candidates should have experience in:

  • MLIS from an accredited institution and one to three years of related experience. 
  • Business databases and resources.
  • Information Literacy Frameworks.
  • Creating LibGuides and tutorials.
  • Reference desk service for all disciplines taught at Curry.
  • Library Instruction.
