Position Summary

This is a position in Sponsored Projects Services ( SPS ) a business unit within the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development which manages and supports the research infrastructure, provides stewardship of external funding and is dedicated to providing the best support possible for University researchers.

The role of the Payroll Analyst I is to review and analyze RF payroll activity ensuring the expenditures charged to sponsored project accounts are fully compliant with University, Research Foundation, sponsor policies and any project specific requirements.

The duties of the Payroll Analyst I fall into the following categories:
  • Review payroll documents that have been processed in Research Foundation (RF) Payroll Department, as an after the fact audit to ensure charges are allowable and charged appropriately to sponsored project accounts
  • Identify, pursue and process corrective action when necessary

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of financial experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent math skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
