Job Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Vice Provost. The Faculty Credentialing Specialist is responsible for effective District-wide workflow for the faculty credentialing process. Responsible for processing all Faculty Credentialing paperwork and producing the faculty roster for SACSCOC compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Performance Requirements*
  • Provides leadership in work processing for the faculty credentialing process
  • Employs high level skills for technical responsibility for faculty credentialing
  • Assists with the development, maintenance, and regular auditing of information in the student information system (e.g. FQAL screen and Web Advisor)
  • Troubleshoots issues with faculty credentialing and works to resolve the issue
  • Oversees the production of the Faculty Roster for SACSCOC compliance
  • Assists with the development of the Faculty Qualifications table and updates annually
  • Assists in the development of procedures for faculty credentialing
  • Prepares and/or verifies reports pertaining to areas of responsibility
  • Assists with the development of faculty and staff training related to faculty credentialing
  • Interacts with campus faculty and staff, and Human Resources related to faculty credentialing
Service Excellence
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College ( TCC ) Institute
  • Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
  • Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
  • Associates degree or 60 college hours
  • Three (3) years of experience working in an academic office of a college or university or related work environment
Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
  • Experience with integrated student information systems
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
  • Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
  • Working knowledge of state and federal requirements applicable to higher education
  • Demonstrated track record of collaboration and cooperation across departments, divisions, or campuses
  • Commitment to delivering quality education and high levels of service to faculty, staff, and students
