Job Description: The World Languages Department at Harper College invites applicants for the position of adjunct instructor of Japanese. The instructor will teach college-level introductory and/or intermediate Japanese courses beginning in January 2022. The position requires high school or college-level teaching experience in Japanese and experience with or ability to quickly learn Harper’s virtual learning and course management system, Blackboard. The instructor will teach the courses on the college campus.

Education Requirements: Master’s Degree in Japanese (or a Master’s in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Japanese).

Experience Requirements: Preferred college-level teaching experience and travel and/or study where Japanese is spoken.
