Position Overview

Operate digital color press and related equipment to produce high quality materials in a timely fashion. Prepare and preflight digital files as needed. Evaluate and maintain operating systems to insure continued improvements. Perform preventive maintenance, report repairs as needed and other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain equipment associated with digital printing and related operations to ensure the highest quality products are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.

Perform pre-flight task using Fiery Command Workstation on all projects in order to achieve best results.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform file preparation and document creation using InDesign, Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop and other software’s related to the graphic arts industry.

Communicate with customers on proper procedures for file preparation and submission.

Perform post press duties as required.

Establish and maintain communication network with faculty staff to plan projects and resolve issues.

Maintain all equipment to ensure reliability and safety standards are met.

Assist director with inventory control and ordering of paper and other related supplies.

Make deliveries of completed projects as required.

Other task as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Stable work history.

Provide excellent customer service and ability to communicate in a professional manner.

Experience in all phases of digital press operations required.

Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs., and using tools associated with printing operations.

Valid drivers license and good driving record

Basic computer skills.

High School graduate or equivalent.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
