This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. Under the general supervision of the electrical services supervisor, installs modifies, inspects, repairs, and tests assigned alarm and control systems. Performs electrical and electronic repairs to assigned systems and components. Systems supported include; fire pump, Freon detectors, HVAC controls, elevators, telecommunications, access control, fire alarms, duress and security alarms, and generators. Assist contractors with modifications and designs of alarm systems. Maintenance and repair including preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, and emergency repairs of alarm systems. Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent, Education/Experience substitution (specify) Other Education & Formal Training
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Technology preferred.

Completion of related trade school or related military experience may substitute on a 1 year for 1 year basis. Computer Skills Experience
Four (4) years experience with fire alarm systems and generators as a seasoned trades person in an industrial or commercial setting required. Strong aptitude working with electronic circuitry. Incumbent subject to 24-hour call-in due to emergencies.
Rotates weekend work assignments with others in section.
