Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Director of
Digital Engagement and Social Media in the University Marketing and
The Director of Digital Engagement and Social Media Reporting to
the Associate Vice President for University Marketing and
Communications and develops and executes the overall strategy for
social media marketing and engagement efforts at Monmouth
University. They serve as the institutional lead on social media,
working collaboratively across the organization to establish and
maintain a unified brand voice for the University on social media
and align strategic priorities, ensuring a more cohesive brand
identity. The Director recognizes the importance and growing role

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills,
Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information
Required Years of Experience:
3+ years of demonstrated communications experience.
Demonstrated ability to employ both the newest and established best
practices in rapidly developing field of digital communications.
Understanding of digital measurement analytics. Experience working
in digital media space.
Experience creating content with Canva, Crello, Easil, or similar
design tool(s). Strong understanding of social media platforms and
strategies. Experience using Hootsuite or similar social media
Working understanding of technical requirements to execute digital
engagement practices. Strong interpersonal skills to work
collaboratively across many departments.
Higher education experience. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
Social video and video editing experience. Ability to articulate
rapidly changing practices and strategies to internal audiences
without strong backgrounds in the space.
