Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Social Media Coordinator in the University Marketing and Communications department.

The Social Media Coordinator reports to the Director of Digital Engagement and Social Media, and assists in supporting the overall strategy for social media marketing and engagement efforts at Monmouth University. They serve as a valued contributor, working collaboratively across the organization to establish and maintain a unified brand voice for the University on social media, ensuring a more cohesive brand identity. The Coordinator recognizes the importance and growing role of social media and digital engagement as the University works to communicate effectively to multiple audiences over many and growing distribution channels.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately

Required Years of Experience:

Other Requirements:
1-2 years of demonstrated communications experience (may include internships).

Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms and strategies. Experience creating content with Canva, Crello, Easil, or similar design tool(s).

Working understanding of digital measurement analytics. Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across many departments.

Preferred Qualifications:
Higher education experience. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

Experience using Hootsuite or similar social media management tool. Experience with social video and video editing.
