Job Summary:
The Office Coordinator will provide administrative, technical, and records processing support for the Career Services, International Student Services, and Education Abroad operations by developing, organizing, managing and streamlining day-to-day activities. Primary functions of this position include scheduling meetings, overseeing the production of marketing materials, ordering supplies, and managing all functions of the departments within the purview of this role. The Office Coordinator must project a professional image through in-person, online, and telephone interaction and should be knowledgeable about all areas of Career Services, International Student Services, and Education Abroad.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with Columbia College’s vision, mission and values, and contributes to the development of the Student Affairs Department.
  • Greet, assist and direct visitors in person, over the phone, and electronically to the appropriate staff member.
  • Coordinate all departmental efforts related to training, marketing, and reporting.
  • Manage appointments, communications, and daily schedules for the staff for Career Services, International Student Services, and Education Abroad.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student employees; and coordinate and track progress on their assigned work projects. Also responsible for discipline and termination of student employees, as necessary.
  • Establish operational policies and procedures and make any necessary modifications, based on analysis of operations, demographics, and other research information.
  • Develop and implement year-round marketing strategies for departmental workshops, events, and services.
  • Manage social media and marketing/publicity for Career Services, International Student Services and Education Abroad programming initiatives.
  • Help to organize events for the departments to include coordinating event details, marketing, logistics, and registration activities.
  • Practice superior customer service.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
