About the Opportunity:
The Bouve College of Health Sciences is seeking an HSE Associate Director to join their team in the BCHS Office of the Dean. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in an academic setting, preferably with students. This individual should have a high comfort level working independently in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a wide range of tasks, including administrative responsibilities from time to time. This key role will interface with internal (Bouve/ NU) clients as well as external.

Please note: The primary work location for this position is the Boston MA Northeastern University Campus Location.

Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of Research and Innovation (ADR) in the Bouve College of Health Sciences, the HSE Associate Director is responsible for managing the Health Sciences Entrepreneurs program, including close interaction with the HSE Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR), the Bouve Development office and with high-level volunteers and donors, as well as with various university departments and programs. The HSE Associate Director will support the activities of the HSE program connecting with mentors, ventures, and the Northeastern and external entrepreneurial community. This leadership role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all internal programmatic aspects of the HSE Program including operations, communications, budget management, and cultivation and stewardship of new and existing external partnerships. This role will also be integrally involved in working alongside the EIR and ADR to develop and cultivate new initiatives at Bouve related to Research and Innovation.

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plus. A minimum of 7 years of experience required in producing programs/events and relationship building. Two to three (2-3) years of supervisory management experience preferred. Experience in a startup or entrepreneurial ecosystem is a plus.

Candidate should have a strong background in strategic development and planning, relationship management, and producing programs and events. They will be a detail-oriented self-starter with enthusiasm for creative problem-solving and a strong customer service focus.

Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with all constituents both internal, external, as well as vendors.

Ability to be flexible and work independently and in a fast-paced team environment on multiple projects at a time while still hitting deadlines amid regularly shifting priorities.
