Postdoctoral Fellowship in Machine Learning, VR Center
Excellent opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary (machine learning & virtual reality) team under the direction of Dr. Nidhal Carla Bouaynaya, Ph.D., Director of Rowan Artificial Intelligence Lab (RAIL). RAIL is offering a full-time postdoctoral fellowship in machine learning (ML). The postdoc will work on a Department of Defense sponsored project. The appointment is for 2 years, renewable depending on performance and funding availability.
The research position includes participating in research related to Gunner Protection Kits (GPKs), threats and engagement scenarios using machine learning under Dr. Bouaynaya’s guidance. The RAIL Lab conducts cutting-edge research in statistical learning and optimization, including explainable ML, trustworthy ML, and multimodal ML. Applications include target, threat and anomaly detection and localization. Expertise in Python using TensorFlow and/or PyTorch environment is required.
A doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required. A strong research background is preferred for the research/clinical position.
