The Daniel Library is seeking an employee who can work 9-5PM on Saturday’s along with coverage ability on an as needed basis from 5pm- 10pm Monday - Thursday. This person will bring a positive and creative approach to problem solving, serving as a collaborative colleague and partner in relationship building. The chosen candidate will provide individual research and technical assistance to the student, faculty and general public.

The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Work in a team environment, with a focus on continuously enhancing the user experience.
  • Provide research and technology assistance through individual consultations at the Research and Information Desk, and through virtual reference services.
  • Participate in campus-wide and in-house library assessment programs
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong computing, communication, interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues in a collaborative team-based organization and flexibility in adapting to change
Preferred Qualifications:
  • An ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library/Information Science or currently enrolled in an MLS degree program.
  • Passion for, and dedication to, students and faculty outreach
  • Experience with 3D printing, and basic computer troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in library information technology or desire to learn
  • Subject specific knowledge or interest
