Job Summary:

The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis is seeking a scholar whose research and teaching places major emphasis on quantitative research design, policy, and data analysis. Preference will be given to candidates whose teaching and research would address school finance, funding, and resource distribution in preK-12 education systems and who focus on issues of equity and diversity. We seek a full range of candidates, including current assistant and associate professors, postdoctoral fellows, recent doctoral degree recipients, as well as individuals with distinguished educational leadership experience. Publication and teaching records will be evaluated in light of previous experience. Associate and Full Professor candidates must possess experience and scholarly credentials suitable for appointment with tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Principal duties:
The successful candidate will be expected to engage in exemplary research and publication, advising, teaching, and service (departmental, university, and professional) and will demonstrate evidence of successfully securing external funding for research. Potential teaching assignments will include quantitative research methods, such as survey and research design, data-driven school leadership, school finance, and resource allocation. The successful candidate will also advise doctoral, master's, and certification students, and inform and enrich state policy development in alignment the Wisconsin Idea.


Candidates are required to have an earned doctorate or equivalent in educational leadership, educational policy, economics of education, elementary/secondary/higher education, research methods, or related field.
