Professor of Mathematics, Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Delaware (Newark, DE).

Full-time, tenure track.

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Delaware is seeking to fill the position of a tenured or tenure-track full Professorship. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain an integrated program of teaching and research in mathematics or applied mathematics. Tenured and tenure-track faculty are expected to maintain a world-class research program that complements Departmental strengths, and to supervise undergraduate and graduate student research. All faculty are expected to contribute service to the Department and the University.

We are seeking an individual with a world-class research record in abstract harmonic analysis and quantum science, especially someone who bridges operator algebras and quantum information theory.

Successful applicants must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field, and a record of scholarly research, publications, and presentations on topics in pure or applied mathematics.

Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a research statement, a teaching statement, and three names and contact information of three professional references. Review of applications will begin on November 15, 2021 and will continue until the position is filled.
