Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Title IX Administrative Specialist provides necessary administrative support to the day to day operations of the office. Under the general supervision of the Director of Title IX/ CCO, this position provides high level administrative support to the Director and staff of the Title IX/ CCO . This position handles highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact. The position effectively and diplomatically serves as point of contact for the office of Title IX/ CCO and interacts with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and administrators. The position also works with minimum supervision and takes initiative to organize and prioritize a heavy and diverse workload to meet stringent deadlines with little direction. The position is responsible for maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing daily schedules, and coordinating conference room reservations. This position will also serve as the focal point for communications; answering, screening/redirecting phone calls and inquiries using appropriate diplomacy, as well as, perform as office receptionist and other duties as requested, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Experience in a University environment
  • Three or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and related experience
  • Prior office experience
  • Experience with university web-based systems, preferably, Banner.
