Job Summary:

This position provides leadership and vision in the development, direction, and enrichment of the student experience at HACC in order to create a culture of student engagement and success. The incumbent works collaboratively to manage and advise co-curricular programming, student leadership opportunities, multicultural programs, volunteer opportunities, civic engagement, and other campus initiatives supporting retention, student success, and out-of-class education.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years experience.*Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Hiring Range: $49,508 - $63,123

Job Specific Task List:

Duties 1 - 6 are essential functions.

1. Create, implement, promote and evaluate extracurricular programming and co-curricular programming for the campus student population while engaging and providing equitable opportunities to the virtual population; identify and facilitate programs that will drive student engagement and success while introducing ideas and themes that support student development; assess needs, develop goals, and drive outcome of student development programs and activities; create departmental goals, objectives, and best practices.

2. Provide leadership, oversight, supervision, and programming for assigned campus environments, honoring the unique needs of the students in those environments; develop, implement, facilitate, and evaluate an inclusive and diverse series of multicultural programs for the campus population; facilitate, develop and provide a vibrant social media presence reflecting campus activities and opportunities in conjunction with college policy and procedure.

3. Advise, supervise, and evaluate the campus Student Programming Board; co-advise the assigned units of the Student Government Association (SGA) with unit leadership; create, implement, promote and evaluate an effective, comprehensive training program for student leaders; administer the campus student activity fee funds, authorize transactions, and complete appropriate financial paperwork; motivate and guide student leaders in constructive and productive activities consistent with their goals and objectives; recruit, train and work effectively with students to coordinate and publicize activities and events.

4. Develop and maintain relationships with HACC faculty, staff, and community organizations to increase out-of-class learning experiences for students and to encourage student engagement; collaborate with colleagues in presenting a wide range of programs, activities, and recognition events in order to encourage student persistence.

5. Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate the work of full or part-time staff and student staff; travel to other campuses as required.

6. Develop and display skill, awareness, and intentionality in engaging virtual learners with events and activities.
