Assistant Professor of Education - Educational Psychology

The Department of Education at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame IN, invites applications for a Full Time, Tenure Track, Assistant Professor of Education beginning August 2022.  Saint Mary’s College is a Catholic liberal arts college for women with a strong commitment to undergraduate education.  The College has recently begun graduate programs for women and men as well. 

The responsibilities of this position include teaching undergraduate teacher education courses in secondary educational psychology and secondary educational psychology of exceptional learners.  The individual may also be responsible for teaching courses in methods of teaching elementary mild intervention, ESL, reading, foundations of multicultural education, or additional courses in the education curriculum.  Other responsibilities include supervision of teacher candidates in the field and academic advising.  In addition to teaching, engaging in scholarly/creative activities and service to the department & College are expectations of the position. 

A Ph.D. or Ed.D. with specialization in Educational Psychology is required.  ABD considered.  A minimum of three years teaching or educational psychology experience in P-12 settings is required. Experience with Specialized Professional Associations preferred. Starting date is August 15, 2022. Classes begin on August 22, 2022.  This position is open until filled or closed.  Review of applications will begin on December 10, 2021.
