Position Summary
The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia invites applicants for a tenure track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor rank, with a special focus on non-communicable disease epidemiology. The position is an academic year appointment (9 months) with an opportunity to supplement salary during the summer. The anticipated starting date for the position is August 2022.
The department is seeking to build on existing strengths in the department and college of aging, reproductive/perinatal epidemiology, health equity, and behavioral health, but is also looking to complement those areas of strength.
The person hired for this position is expected to develop and teach innovative undergraduate and graduate courses focusing on intermediate and advanced epidemiology methods (in-person as well as online as appropriate). Commitment to student mentoring and supervision of projects and dissertation research in the department and college is further expected. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong and productive research program with extramural funding and devote time to service activities.
