We are hiring a tenure track eligible Full Time Director for our thriving Psychology Training Clinic, The Center for Behavioral Health, within the School of Professional Psychology at Spalding University in Louisville, KY. The Center (https://behavioralhealth.spalding.edu/) was founded in 2015, with the dual mission of training doctoral students in clinical psychology and serving underserved populations in our community through high quality, reduced cost mental health therapy and assessment services in the heart of Louisville.

We seek candidates with expertise and leadership in supervision of evidence-based mental health interventions and assessments, both in person and via telehealth, across a diverse range of populations. Applicants should demonstrate commitment to high-quality supervision and teaching of graduate students and have a vision for maintaining and expanding outreach and partnerships across the local community. In addition, the ideal candidate will enjoy working with and managing a team of supervisors and front desk staff to execute the mission of the Center. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness and support the program’s mission towards becoming ever more Anti-racist. In addition to leading, organizing, and facilitating the daily operations of the Center, the Director will also teach 2 clinically oriented courses in the School of Professional Psychology and directly supervise 1-2 graduate students in the clinic each year. Candidates for this position should have a PhD or PsyD from an APA accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program and be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Kentucky. The position offers flexible scheduling and an opportunity to engage in the Center’s Faculty Practice Plan, which is an opportunity for faculty to see private practice clients within the Center. Candidates from under-represented and minoritized backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.

Spalding University was founded in 1814 to provide quality education, and our vibrant university mission continues to be built around creating a diverse community of learners committed to meeting the needs of our time through the promotion of peace and justice.  We offer a BA in Psychology and a PsyD in clinical psychology (which has been fully accredited by APA since 1989).  Our doctoral program is a scholar-practitioner model that offers outstanding generalist training with opportunities to also gain focused training in Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology, Neuropsychology (child/adolescent and adult), or Advanced Clinical Psychology. A strength of our university is its location in downtown Louisville, which allows our students a wide variety of practicum experiences working with traditionally marginalized and underserved individuals. As a program, we are strongly committed to attracting and supporting students and faculty with marginalized identities who also tend to be underrepresented in the field of psychology.
