The Program Coordinator, Alumni Communities, works closely with the Assistant Director, Alumni Communities and Director, Alumni Engagement Programs to support and enhance engagement with diverse and historically underrepresented alumni communities through tailored programming and communications.  They will assist the multicultural group team by helping to identify and recommend diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies to engage these communities in ways that speak to their interests while (re)connecting them to the University.  This team member will be responsible for tracking and assisting in commemorating University milestones that are of particular importance to Brown’s diverse and underrepresented alumni communities and will help create appropriate programming that honors and celebrates those milestones.

The Program Coordinator will also work closely with the team on program and communications strategy implementation in direct response to the results and recommendations of the recently conducted HUGs alumni survey.  The work of the Program Coordinator will highly complement that of the Assistant Director and Director in the space of liaising with affinity groups and their volunteer leaders and campus partners, and other allies and stakeholders.

In partnership with the Office of Alumni Relations and the Division of Advancement, the Program Coordinator will be a key collaborator on DEIB messaging and strategy and will take point on curating and maintaining appropriate and effective communication and digital content for these constituencies, serving as a resource to address critical issues as they arise.
