The University of Texas of the Permian Basin and the faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science invite applications for a non-tenure track position as Lecturer of Mathematics.   The position will begin in Fall 2022.     DEPARTMENT: College of Arts & Sciences   CLASSIFICATION: Faculty   REPORTS TO:  Department Chair and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences   SALARY RANGE: Salary Competitive   GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Lecturer of Mathematics is required to teach five (5) sections per term in courses such as Calculus I, II, III, Linear Algebra, and others as needed.   A completed application is required to be considered for employment.  Please follow this link:     Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Each applicant should upload the following: 1.  Cover Letter 2.  Resume 3.  A statement on teaching and research interest 4.  Arrange for three letters of recommendation and include a list of three references' contact information.

We invite you to learn more at   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1.  Master’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field, with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics.   2.  Evidence of teaching skills is considered.   3.  The successful candidate will teach Freshman courses in Mathematics.   4.  Other courses may be taught in addition, depending on interests and experience.   5.  This position is security-sensitive and subject to Section 51.125 of the Texas Education Code. A criminal background check will be conducted prior to employment.
