Position Summary:

The PASS Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that documents per the grant’s requirement (including reports), are correct and complete on the deadlines assigned by the Dean of Students.

Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student body. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)

This is a grant-funded position and is subject to funding availability.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Successful Candidate must have or must possess:
  • Experience in Education
  • Experience in student support service

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) or more years working in an office setting.
  • One (1) or more years’ experience working with College Level students in a community college setting.
Example of Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Dean of Students or other administrator, the PASS Coordinator is accountable for the following:
  • Serve as Housatonic’s grant liaison PASS Program with the DOHE including participating in all communications, calls, and meetings;
  • Coordinate the implementation of all aspects of the PASS Program;
  • Oversee development of systems to market the program and recruit students, assess their past semesters, mentor students, and provide workshops for students;
  • Assess student and project outcomes, prepare required grant reports, and work closely with fiscal affairs on budget oversight;
  • Identify student needs for support services and make arrangements; track individual progress in program;
  • Meet monthly with Dean of Students;
  • Coordinator will be required to stay current with all required PASS trainings;
  • Conduct a thorough project evaluation in conformance with program requirements and create a plan and identify sources for program sustainability;
  • Write reports according to the required format and utilizing correct grammar and punctuation;
  • Carefully edit each document to assure it is concise, correct, and complete;
  • Ensure that support materials accompany the proposal include all relevant data and information to strengthen and illustrate the proposal;
  • Conduct in-person presentations as necessary for success in maintaining grant funds and strengthening relationships with funding sources;
  • S ubmitting program reports in a timely fashion.
The PASS Coordinator must be flexible and available to work on occasional evenings with adjustment made to their schedule to stay within the maximum 17hrs/week schedule.

Starting Salary:

$32.14 hourly.
