The Coordinator position plays an integral part in UT's internationalization and efforts to increase global engagement. It exists to promote, facilitate, organize, and manage UT's global study, internship, service, and research programs. The Coordinator serves as an advisor and a liaison to students, staff, and faculty for education abroad opportunities. The Coordinator guides students through the education abroad process from interest and application to abroad and return. The Coordinator works with colleges and departments, as well as global partners and vendors, on the creation, renewal, negotiation, and management of credit-bearing education abroad programs, which includes guiding the programs through the proposal, budgeting, and contracting processes. The Coordinator often coordinates and participates in outreach activities and informational meetings. The Coordinator may also assist with service and support for inbound international students. The Coordinator supports the unit's risk management and emergency response protocols for education abroad participants, e.g., delivering orientation and serving in an on-call phone rotation duty.
