The College of Lake County is looking to add four TRiO Educational Talent Search Tutors, PT-Flex, to their team. The TRiO ETS will provide academic and social emotional support to TRiO Educational Talent Search scholars at North Chicago Community High School, Round Lake High School, Waukegan High School, and Zion Benton Township High School.

This is a part-time flex position and employment shall be on an at-will basis, the duration of which shall be in accordance with the needs of the College of Lake County.
Part-time flex employees are not eligible to participate in any benefits program at the College, including tuition reimbursement, tuition waiver, health insurance or paid time off.

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Must be at least 18 years old.
3. Must have the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
4. Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

1. Responsible for helping students understand key concepts in Math, Science, and Writing.
2. Teach skills to improve academic progress and provide feedback.
3. Responsible for scanning, making copies, review and evaluating electronic and hard copy records.
4. Communicates with Trio ETS Tutor Mentor and STEM Coordinator, Specialists and Manager on the academic progress of students.
5. Demonstrates software skills as needed.
6. Attends training meetings as required.
7. Completes required paperwork.
