Department Information

The CSU-Pueblo’s Project Resiliencia Title III grant has three major programs/activities, including; 1) Building a Concurrent Student Resource Center (CSRC), 2) Creating the Learning Innovating and Networking Center (LINC), and 3) Building Modern Flexible Learning Spaces. These programs and activities are designed to build our institutional capacity and resilience in order to attract, support, and graduate students from our region (rural, Hispanic and low-income).  

Description of Job

The Operations and Program Manager serves as the office administrator and project manager for the Project Resiliencia grant and all affiliated programs. Duties include office support of the day-to-day operations of the Concurrent Student Resource Center (CSRC) and the Learning, Innovating, and Networking Center (LINC), all administrative, purchasing, and HR tasks, project management for LINC operations, hiring and managing LINC student peer mentors, maintaining grant assessment tracking database, regular grant budget tracking, and assisting the Project Director with regular grant reports.
 
This position is grant-funded funded through 8/1/2023.  Grant funding for this position is not renewable.

Primary Duties

  • Provide general office support for the management of the Project Resiliencia grant programs:
    • Creating employment contracts for faculty and external employees for Project Resiliencia to meet the needs of the grant
    • Facilitating documents such as job offers, student stipends and tuition waivers, faculty stipends and supplemental contracts, student work referrals, etc.
    • Purchasing office and research supplies necessary to support grant activities through Kuali Financial Systems
    • Processing requisitions, creating purchase orders, processing check requests and procurement card payments
    • Assisting as p-card coordinator for assigned areas with dotted line reporting to the Business Office
    • Supporting Project Resiliencia staff, faculty, and student researchers through travel arrangement, conference registration, ordering supplies, and effective communication
  • Assist the LINC Management Team with project management, logistics, and operational support including:
    • Scheduling classes and events
    • Scheduling project kick-off meetings
    • Scheduling and managing LINC staff interactions with classes
    • Scheduling events
    • Obtaining feedback
    • Tracking LINC student interactions and activities
    • Hiring, managing, and training student employees
  • Assist the Program Director in the creation and tracking of grant budget and preparation of annual reports to the granting agency
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze the LINC student assessment database.
  • Prepare and distribute agendas and minutes of meetings

Ancillary Duties

  • Semester startup activities.
  • Participate in professional service opportunities on campus

 

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Desire to work with at-risk student populations and interdisciplinary faculty and staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with higher education and university purchasing protocols
  • Experience in educational grant program management
  • Experience with CSU Pueblo administrative, HR, and purchasing processes using systems including AIS, Kuali, Filebound, and others
  • Experience with budgets and financial reports
  • Experience supervising student workers or other part-time employees
  • Experience working in an academic library, tutoring, or learning center
