Purdue University, Polytechnic Institute in West Lafayette, Indiana, is accepting applications for a full-time continuing lecturer beginning in Fall 2022. This faculty appointment is in the department of Computer and Information Technology.

 

Essential job duties include the following: (1) Develop and teach undergraduate courses in systems analysis and design using contemporary modeling languages (UML a must) and systems development methodologies (both Agile and traditional), project management (PMBOK based), and other related areas; (2) serve on curriculum committees; (3) perform customary faculty assignments and student mentoring; and (4) demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and transformational education. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  M.S. or M.A. in computer and information technology (CIT) or other closely related field is required. Purdue Polytechnic Institute is a college within Purdue University. Additional information about the department can be found at http:/www.polytechnic.purdue.edu/CIT/.

The Computer and Information Technology department is home to 900+ degree seeking students, five undergraduate majors, including systems analysis and design, network engineering, cybersecurity, data analytics, and software development, all leading to a B.S. degree.  Students may also pursue M.S.’ M.S. online and Ph.D. degrees.  The CIT department is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET. Successful candidates in non-tenure track appointments are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and industry engagement.

 

SALARY AND BENEFITS:  Salary and rank will be commensurate with the education, experience, and qualifications of the candidate.  Benefits will include comprehensive health and retirement plans.
