Bloodworks Northwest (BWNW) and University of Washington Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology are recruiting a full-time faculty member for an appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank (without tenure due to funding), commensurate with experience. Clinical practice would be based at either Bloodworks NW or University of Washington Medical Center. The selected candidate would be expected to provide clinical care in hematology or transfusion medicine. The candidate would also build a research program that collaborates and is cohesive with the research being performed at BWNW. Teaching activities for this position include mentoring, attending on clinical service, lectures/conferences, and supervising.  This position will have an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30]. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Position will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date is March 1, 2022.

 

The selected candidate must have an MD (or foreign equivalent). ABIM certification in Hematology and/or Transfusion Medicine (or foreign equivalent) is also required.

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
