Summary of Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses required in human performance studies and graduate courses in exercise science (e.g. biomechanics, kinesiology, anatomy & physiology, cardiovascular physiology, and courses related to area of expertise), assist exercise science faculty with research projects, advise graduate students, develop applied learning initiatives, provide service to the university, college, department, community and profession.
Minimum Education: Master degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or a related field with clear demonstration of skills in applied exercise physiology testing in the lab/field.
Minimum Experience: Evidence of successful college teaching experience, skill in the use of emerging educational technologies, evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills, and evidence of the ability to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Evidence of promoting and supporting diversity and social justice
- Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities
- Evidence of communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse students and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and professionals.
Preferred Qualifications, Licenses, Certifications, & Registrations: Doctorate in exercise physiology, exercise science, or terminal degree in a related field with clear demonstration of skills in applied exercise physiology testing in the lab/field, evidence of research experience, maintain an ACSM, NSCA, and/or ASEP certification.
Start Date: Start Date August 1, 2022. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of completed applications will begin November 29, 2021 and continue until position is filled.
