CNC Mill and Lathe Non-Credit Trainers (Part Time Temporary Applicant Pool)

Blue Bell, PA

 

Montgomery County Community College is searching for a part time CNC Mill and Lathe instructor to teach our CNC Machinist program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Teach students the theory and practice of machining using the Amatrol CNC machine Operator HAAS based Interface modules 1 to 24.
  • Demonstrate, conduct and supervise practical labs and training for students on CNC equipment in the college labs.
  • Cover following topics included in the manuals:
    • Basic measurements, print reading, precision measurements tools, dimensional gauging and tolerances.
    • Drilling operations, Internal machining operation, Milling machine operation and Milling and Turning operation.
    • CNC mill, program, turning and grinding operation. CNC troubleshooting, statistical process control and control charts.
  • Evaluate student performance in the class.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience instructing on the use of precise mechanical measurement instruments and their application to determining geometric tolerance for CNC Lathe and Mill programming.
  • Prior instructional experience is desirable but can be waived for experienced professionals.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3 years supervisory-level experience in operating and instructing on HAAS CNC Mill and Lathe technology.
