ABOUT THE POSITION
Position Overview
The School of Kinesiology, College of Education and Human Development, University of Minnesota, seeks a part-time Research Professional 4. This position will involve a combination of effort on research project management and coordination (50% effort).
The Research Professional will work on research coordination tasks for the NIH-funded YogaMoves study. YogaMoves study is testing a pilot, feasibility yoga intervention for sedentary, African-American women in the Twin Cities.
Job Responsibilities
Research Coordination and Management Tasks (75%)

With the assistance of Dr. Daheia
Barr-Anderson and Dr. Mark Pereira, oversee the operational
activities of the development, implementation and evaluation of the
YogaMoves intervention.
Meet weekly with Dr. Barr-Anderson
and/or Dr. Pereira, and quarterly with the study investigative team
to manage study activities.
Supervise graduate and undergraduate
research staff working on the intervention.
Administrative Duties (25%)

Take leadership in IRB modifications
and other IRB tasks.
Along with Dr. Barr-Anderson,
responsible for monitoring study budget, in collaboration with
study accountant. Compile and prepares financial progress
reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
-
BA/BS with at least 5 years of
experience or MS degree with 3 years of experience or a combination
of related education and work experience to equal 9 years.
Demonstrated interest in health
equity research.
Strong technical writing and
communications skills.
Excellent organizational
skills.
Preferred
-
Demonstrated interest in yoga
research.
Experience in working on the
implementation or management of research projects.
Experience in supervising paid staff
or volunteers.
Experience in writing and managing
protocols to protect the rights of human research
participants.
Experience managing research
budgets.
