The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is accepting applications for a full-time, open rank, twelve-month faculty position in the Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences (CDS), School of Health Professions (SHP).  The successful candidate will have teaching, research/scholarship, and service responsibilities in the Master of Science in Biomedical and Health Science (MS.BHS) program. The Master of Science in Biomedical and Health Sciences Program is an 11-month postbaccalaureate program designed to prepare a diverse student body for entry into graduate health professions programs. This program is jointly run by the Departments of CDS (CDS/SHP) and Cell, Developmental & Integrative Biology, School of Medicine (CDIB/SOM). The Program has an excellent relationship with health-related programs at UAB, and graduates are accepted into graduate professional programs throughout the US.

Candidates with demonstrated teaching and research expertise in the area of Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with a Doctorate (PhD, MD, DO, PharmD, etc.) or Physician Assistant (PA) degrees. Experience in teaching at the graduate level in a health-related profession and/or professional school is highly desirable.  Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Excellent fringe benefits are offered, including retirement benefits, health care benefits, and generous paid time off.
