Qualifications:
General Chemistry II Lab (Chem 011) supports General Chemistry II lecture and has a strong focus on chemical kinetics, equilibrium, and general approaches to problem-solving. The course emphasizes the use of safe and effective laboratory techniques, development of written skills, thorough and organized documentation in lab notebooks, and the development of qualitative and quantitative laboratory skills.

This laboratory meets in person, on campus on Monday from 1:30 - 5:30 pm during the 2022 spring term.

In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular virtual office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.

Candidates must have an M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant area of chemistry, a successful record of teaching experience in chemistry at the undergraduate level, and familiarity with online/hybrid instruction in order to prepare for contingencies.
