Position Summary
The HR Service Center Manager is responsible for the Service Center operations and the office management of University Human Resources including direct supervision of the HR Service Center in providing excellent customer service to campus and HR staff. The HR Service Center provides first contact for the Office Human Resources and a wide range of administrative support.

This position oversees day-to-day administrative processes which include HR office personnel actions, hiring transactions, purchasing, and office maintenance logistics. This position demands a firm commitment to serving the University with sensitivity and professionalism. The person in this position must support diversity and inclusion in every aspect and responsibility associated with the job. This position assists and acts in a confidential capacity to the Employee and Labor Relations unit within University Human Resources.

This position reports to the Executive Assistant & Strategic Initiatives Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements
  • Five years of administrative support or office management experience
  • Two years of supervisory experience

    Professional Competencies
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook (or similar), with the ability to produce professional correspondence, documents, and reports
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
  • Commitment to and experience with promoting and enhancing diversity and equity
  • Ability to effectively lead the work of others in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate complex information to individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Ability to handle confidential material appropriately and sensitively
  • Flexibility to shift directions quickly when priorities change, recommend creative solutions to problems and work on a variety of projects simultaneously

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of human resources or related experience
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Banner's human resources information system (HRIS) and financial information system (FIS) or other comparable enterprise-wide HRIS and FIS.
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP certification
