The Director of Admissions and Recruitment is responsible for developing and implementing UW-Stevens Point undergraduate recruitment plan and budget to increase market share of prioritized student segments for the university’s main and branch campuses. The ideal candidate is a high energy, dynamic leader who will mentor and inspire the university's recruitment team and ambassadors to attract prospective students seeking a transformational learning experience. This position is located on the Stevens Point campus and works in close collaboration with university leadership, the marketing and enrollment strategy team, faculty, staff, external stakeholders, and prospective students and their families. This position directly supervises three assistant directors.
Required Qualifications
• Baccalaureate degree in business, management, marketing or
related field;
• Knowledge of contemporary practice in university student
marketing and recruitment;
• Minimum of five years in increasingly responsible positions in
college/university recruitment, with experience in data-based
planning, budgeting, and staff supervision;
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, and public speaking
skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
• Excellent technology, organizational and collaborate
skills;
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire a sales team;
• Demonstrated ability to build a department culture that embraces
change and progress;
• Demonstrated ability think strategically and develop plans;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Budget experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree preferred but not required;
• Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft’s Campus Solutions
student information system.
