Alfred University seeks an in cumbent who will plan, recruit, organize, and coordinate summer academic programs for high school students and incoming first-time, first-year students. This person is also a member of the Registrar's team providing administrative level support to the activities of that office.
Responsibilities:
- Within Registrar's office:
- External Programs Registration:
- Register students in the appropriate sections of the courses offered using both batch and individual registration processes in the Banner system.
- Working with AUNY personnel and staff, verify accuracy of class lists. Reconcile records and update Banner as needed.
- Coordinate the final grading process, including monitoring of late and missing grades; "roll" grades that have been entered by instructors to students' transcripts and update GPAs at least twice each week.
- Degree Works Maintenance:
- Assist with the maintaining of degree audits in Degree Works using scribe language as per the university catalog each year.
- Other projects with as needed.
- Graduation support
- Help maintain and/or create how to videos.
- Assist with mass registrations for Common Ground.
- Other administrative tasks as needed
- External Programs Registration:
- Summer Academic Programs:
- Work with academic deans to develop high school institute offerings and summer new student courses.
- With Marketing & Communications, develop and implement marketing plan
- Coordinate recruitment with MarComm, Academic Affairs, and Enrollment Management
- Recruit and admit students for high school institutes.
- Facilitate all inquiries from perspective students and their families.
- Coordinate all aspects of institute logistics.
- Coordinate AU recruitment through institutes.
- Finalize summer institute through issuing certificates, certifying eligibility for admissions benefits, etc.
- Coordinate summer athletic day camps including hiring medical director and staff, processing payroll, managing enrollment and associated logistics.
