Job Summary
The Title IX coordinator is responsible for coordinating the institution’s compliance with federal and state discrimination and sexual harassment laws.

The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Provides educational programs regarding discrimination and sexual harassment prevention
- Responds to, investigates and seeks resolution to allegations of discrimination and sexual harassment
- Recruits, trains and provides leadership, as needed, for staff serving as investigators
- Selects and oversees sexual harassment advisors who serve as additional resources on issues of sexual harassment
- Trains student peer educators to facilitate student discussions on sexual harassment
- Receives and processes inquiries and discrimination complaints from the campus community and third parties in a timely manner, providing a fair and neutral process for all parties
- Develops and implements case management plans for each reported Title IX incident
- Develops investigation plans for each Title IX complaint
- Conducts investigations or trains staff members to conduct investigations
- Reviews university policies, procedures, protocols and practices and ensures their compliance with Title IX regulations
- Manages the daily responsibilities associated with Lindenwood’s Title IX compliance obligations
- Prepares annual statistical reports on the number, nature and disposition of complaints
- Identifies investigative patterns and makes recommendations for improvement
- Develops a case management database to organize, manage and track Title IX incidents
- Continually identifies and integrates Title IX investigation best practices into knowledge base and performance
- Stays abreast of current movements in the field of student conduct investigations
- Supports the mission of the university and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Models, supports and holds others accountable to the university’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity and teamwork
- Suggests resources for faculty, staff and students who could benefit from supplementary support during investigations
- Ensures students are aware of options and resources with respect to reporting and filing complaints alleging sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual misconduct and relationship violence
- Collaborates with other campus offices to coordinate and execute, in a timely manner, Lindenwood’s response and investigation of complaints as pursuant to Title IX
Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Juris doctor
- Minimum of five years’ progressive responsibility in a related field
- Completion of vaccination status survey and proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of hire.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong professional integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to use good judgment and think critically
- Experience with general office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
- General office setting
- Ability to work effectively at a computer for up to eight hours daily
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function
