The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) at
the Florida A&M University (FAMU)-Florida State University
(FSU) College of Engineering invites applications from highly
qualified individuals for a tenure-track faculty position in
Computer Engineering in Tallahassee, Florida. We are seeking
faculty candidates for an assistant professor position, however,
exceptional candidates will be considered for higher ranks.
The ECE Department currently has about 29 faculty, 100+ graduate
students, ~400 undergraduate students, and annual research
expenditures exceeding $5M. The two universities and outstanding
research facilities in the affiliated research buildings/centers
provide opportunities for collaboration with faculty in Computer
Science and Scientific Computing, the Center for Advanced Power

Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. in computer engineering,
computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related
discipline, and demonstrate documented potential for outstanding
research. Areas of particular interest include Cyber
Security, Cyber-Physical Systems, Embedded Systems, Digital
Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Computer Architecture, Computer
Networks, and Artificial Intelligence. Successful candidates are
expected to develop research programs that are internationally
recognized with significant and sustained funding, incorporate
interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers across campus, and
demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in education.
